Who would have though your basic run of the mill 58-59 Explorer is worth more than your run of the mill 58-60 Les Paul? Still not worth more than "Greeny"......

I wonder why the Fender "Nocaster" or the Gibson Explorer with the split headstock didn't make the list?

So hard to look back.
My first new guitar was an early 60's Dot 335 and my wife's one and only guitar was late 50's LP gold top.
Gone, Gone, Gone..........how stupid we were back then.


Here's an other killer:
My very first acoustic was a pawn shop guitar my uncle gave me.
He had it for years before he dusted it of and gave it to me.
I'm not 100% sure, because I was a kid back then, but looking at pictures, I think it was a 40's Martin.

To me, its cool, they were some originals and such, but a 1/2 million dollars ?

Even $60,000, its like WTF, its a guitar, not a rembrandt
